The hotel is surrounded by an abundance of wonderful walking trails and a one of the best cycle trails in Ireland.
Blessingbourne Estate is home to not only lush wooodland walking trails but also, an excellent and comprehensive cycle trail. Decsribed as an exhilarating combination of blue, red and black trails designed by world class Phil Saxena, course designer for the Beijing Olympics, the trails provides an opportunity for abilities to cycle, ideal for families and seasoned cyclists alike.

Knockmanny Forest Park, situated outside Clogher (about 6 miles from The Valley Hotel), is a little more challenging walking trail but still suitable for walkers of all abilities. Approximate time of the walk is around 2 hours through lush woodland and streams, the summit of Knockmanny Hill boosts beautiful views right across the Clogher Valley and is also home to the remains of the Neolithic toom of Queen Anya (which can be viewed through a gated doorway). Saint Patrick's Chair & Well, situated outside Augher (about 9 miles from The Valley Hotel) is an easily walked woodland until the short step stairway up the chair itself. The chair, which is a 2m standstone 'chair' shaped like a throne, is said to have healing powers and folklore says that if you sit and make a wish within days it will come true.
