On Wednesday 23rd November 2011 The Valley Hotel recived its N.I.T.B 3 star award after a mystery hotel inspector had stayed overnight. He was most impressed by the friendliness of the hotel and has awared the hotel 68% out of a total of 69%.
Gold Award - Green Tourism Business Scheme
The hotel has achieved a Gold Award under the Green Tourism Business Scheme, for demonstrating excellence in environmental practice and promoting sustainable tourism.
The Green Tourism Business Scheme is the leading sustainable tourism certification scheme in the UK. The scheme honoursestablishments that demonstrate high levels of commitment in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable tourism with bronze, silver and gold awards. Award winners are scrutinisedon over 145 separate measures by qualified advisors before being appointed the relevant award.
The Valley Hotel has been awarded 3 stars by the AA.
The Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown Co Tyrone has been awarded 3 stars by the AA. The award comes in recognition of excellent facilities and service offered by the hotel.
The AA is Ireland’s longest established and leading Hotels inspection body. They work hand-in-hand with hoteliers and guesthouse owners to continually raise standards in accommodation and dining, with their key focus being hospitality and service from the customer’s perspective.
For hotels, star ratings from one to five indicate the level of service, range of facilities and quality of guest care that you can expect. Hotels are required to meet progressively higher standards as they move up the scale from one to five stars.
The Williamson Family and staff of The Valley Hotel were all delighted at the news of the 3 star award and felt it was well deserved after their total refurbishment of the hotel which was in excess of £1m. The renovation was completed in July 2007 and have, since come a long way in providing an excellent and very high standard service to its guests.

However, we don’t rely on our food alone to delight our guests - we embrace the total experience by addressing areas such as staff training, cleanliness and hygiene and the comfort and atmosphere of the individual premises when setting the criteria to which our members must adhere.
